DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, June 13 | 10 a.m.–5 p.m.On the boardwalk from 16th-18th StreetsFREE and open to the public \n\n\n\nChalk the Walk Guidelines 2026 \n2026 Theme: “Wonderful World of Color”  \nWitness the transformation of the Virginia Beach Boardwalk as artists unite for Chalk the Walk\, turning the boardwalk into a vibrant canvas of color! \nDuring Chalk the Walk\, participants create extraordinary four-by-four-foot chalk drawings along three blocks of the boardwalk. Competitors unleash their creativity with themed chalk drawings to be assessed by a panel of judges. Evaluation criteria include composition\, use of color\, adherence to the theme\, and overall creativity. The competition features three divisions: Amateur\, Professional\, and Youth (ages 12-16). \n​​To qualify for the competition\, all participants must register by 12:30 pm\, and drawings must be completed by 3:30 pm to be eligible for prizes. Registration is free\, and participants are responsible for bringing their own chalk. \nTrophies and cash prizes await winners in each division\, with the announcement scheduled for 4:45 pm on the boardwalk at 17th Street. \nFree on-site registration is available from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm\, and capacity is limited.
