DESCRIPTION:June 30 – August 22 | Tuesday through Saturday at 8pm and 9pm \nLocation: 25th Street Stage \nFREE and open to the public \nOn March 3rd \, 1891\, A Norwegian sailing ship grounded itself during a nor-easter\noff the Virginia Beach coast. For an entire day\, the men of the Lifesaving Service\ntried desperately to save the passengers aboard that ship\, including the Captain’s\nwife and 3-year-old son. The harrowing events of that day etched themselves in\nthe memory of Hampton Roads and precipitated the creation of the Statue of the\nNorwegian Lady at 25th Street.
