July 4 Stars & Stripes Celebration

FREE and open to the public

Head to the Virginia Beach oceanfront for a “star-spangled” salute to America this July 4! Live concerts in 17th, 24th, and 31st Street Parks culminate in a spectacular oceanfront fireworks display at 9:30 p.m.

Entertainment Schedule

17th Street Park:
7:30pm-10:45pm, Chester B’s Tribute to Motown featuring the music of The Temps, Tops, Supremes, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, and Michael Jackson

24th Street Park:
7:30pm-9:30pm, The Tidewater Winds Concert Band Presenting “Racing the Night” (an original new historical theatrical production) and a selection of patriotic, motion picture, and Americana tunes

 

31st Street Park
7:30pm-9:30pm, 100th Army Band from Ft. Knox, KY

The 100th Army Band, affectionately known as the “Band of the Century,” is stationed at Fort Knox, Kentucky, under the 81st Readiness Division. The band consists of eight distinct ensembles, including the Concert Band, Rock Band, Jazz Band, Brass Quintet, and Woodwind Quintet, and performs for high profile community and military events.  With several performances each month, the band passionately shares its dedication for military service and music with thousands of people each year.
