Kick off your summer of fun with the Memorial Day Weekend Salute to Summer! Free concerts at 17th Street Park, 24th Street Park, and 31st Street Parks feature local bands representing different genres and musical styles. These concerts complement the perfect weekend of sun, swimming, and surfing in Virginia Beach.

Salute those who gave the ultimate sacrifice to defend our freedom by experiencing the Heroes’ Walk banners located along the boardwalk beginning at 16th Street and going north. These essays were composed by local Virginia Beach history students and tell the stories of various wars and conflicts the United States has been involved in over the years.

All shows start at 7:30pm.
